Explain your career path—how did you become a IT Intern?
I always had a deep-rooted interest in computers and technology. More importantly, I like understanding how things work; it brings me joy to solve a very problematic issue and have it finally work! This has made me pursue a computer science and mathematics degree at Texas State University. Realizing I am very people-oriented and enjoy directly supporting others, I pursued a position in IT, where all my interests intersect in a fun, rewarding way.
Can you describe your personal self?
I am enthusiastic and driven. Whether I’m tackling academic challenges or pushing myself to improve in my job, I always stay optimistic and desire to grow. I seek ways to connect my curiosity and interests with real-world impact. That drive fuels my learning and my ambition to serve the world.
What are your top personal values, and how do you apply those to your work?
Curiosity, ambition, adaptability, and, ultimately, teamwork are my driving forces. They push me to always look for innovative solutions to problems in any given circumstance. Approaching challenges this way helps me contribute meaningfully and consistently elevate the team's impact.
Why did you choose to come to The Launch Box?
I believe in Bill’s vision and mindset. He has been a genuine source of inspiration and an incredibly positive influence on my professional growth. I felt eager to contribute to something I truly believe in and am ready to support wholeheartedly.
What is a common misconception you hear about IT?
That we know everything there is to know about computers. Most of our IT roles involve brainstorming, problem-solving, seeking answers, and everything else! It is a position in which there is always something new to be learned, especially with the rapid development of technology present in industry, so you continually grow and adapt in your role.
What is the most fulfilling part of your role at TLB?
The culture at the company is truly inspiring. It’s truly a humbling experience to work alongside so many driven leaders who are just as invested in your success as they are in their own. My department’s team has been incredibly supportive, consistently encouraging me throughout the learning process. Thank you, Alam, Andre, and Francisco; I’m grateful for your guidance and support!
What about the future of TLB are you most excited about?
As a company in the early stages of growth, each of us has the potential to play a pivotal role in working towards its present and future success. This offers us a unique freedom to work creatively, within and across disciplines. The company has a strong sense of an abundance mindset, rejecting the current status quo and embracing continuous improvement. I’m excited to contribute to that vision and help drive meaningful progress.
