Katherine is a rising senior at Texas State University majoring in Business Management. Known for her strong work ethic, compassion, and unwavering dedication, she never walks away from a challenge.

Explain your career path—how did you become a People Operations Intern?

I enrolled in Bill Poston’s Leadership class, I was able to connect with the People Operations team and start my internship.

Can you describe your personal self?

I am a huge book nerd who loves to lock myself away with a good book in hand. When I am not at work or school, I am either at home reading or at my local dance hall doing my favorite activity: hanging out with close friends and Line Dancing!

What are your top personal values, and how do you apply those to your work?

I am someone with a hard work ethic. I enjoy seeing things through to the end and have a hard time leaving something alone until I complete it. I apply this to my work because I believe in going above and beyond what is asked of me and helping my colleagues in any way I can!

Why did you choose to come to The Launch Box?

I believe that The Launch Box is where I will be supported in starting my career and expanding my knowledge in different areas of expertise. Everyone here supports each other’s success, it’s incredibly refreshing in today’s competitive work world. I am also very passionate about using these tools to continue the legacy of leading others to success that I see so many of my colleagues doing on a day to day basis.

What is a common misconception you hear about People Operations?

That being in HR, especially as an intern, is all about grunt work and dealing with fires. In reality, I get to see the impact of being on the People Operations team, how everything comes together behind the scenes, and how they support and ensure the success of each other and everyone at The Launch Box.

What is the most fulfilling part of your role at TLB?

I really enjoy expanding my knowledge in all things HR and seeing how everything comes together and how we support everyone in the whole company, so I’m extremely happy to be even just a small part of it!

What about the future of TLB are you most excited about?

I am excited to see how much TLB continues to grow, how dedicated we are to each other and our success, and how that will continue to play out as we grow as a company!
