Luis is a finance and accounting professional with over five years of experience in financial operations, accounting, and business management. He’s passionate about leveraging data, technology, and process improvement to build efficient financial operations and support informed business decisions.
Explain your career path—how did you become a Staff Analyst?
My career began in accounting and bookkeeping, where I developed a strong foundation in financial reporting and reconciliations. I later expanded into business operations and legal billing, managing accounts receivable, collections, and financial processes for a U.S.-based organization. These experiences strengthened my analytical and process-improvement skills and ultimately led me to The Launch Box as a Staff Analyst, where I continue developing my career in finance and accounting.
Can you describe your personal self?
I’m a curious, driven, and adaptable person who enjoys learning, solving problems, and continuously improving. Outside of work, I value spending time with family and friends, discovering new experiences, and maintaining a positive balance between personal and professional growth.
What are your top personal values, and how do you apply those to your work?
My core values are integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, and empathy. I apply them by taking ownership of my work, communicating transparently, looking for better ways to solve problems, and remembering that behind every process, number, or decision are people who depend on accurate and thoughtful work.
Why did you choose to join The Launch Box?
I chose The Launch Box because it offered the opportunity to expand my experience within finance and accounting while contributing to a team focused on helping growing businesses succeed. I was especially drawn to the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, take on new challenges, and continue developing both professionally and personally.
What is a common misconception you hear about being a Staff Analyst?
A common misconception is that being a Staff Analyst is mainly about working with spreadsheets and numbers. In reality, the role requires understanding the story behind the data, identifying issues and opportunities, improving processes, and communicating financial information in a way that supports better business decisions.
What is the most fulfilling part of your role at TLB?
The most fulfilling part of my role at The Launch Box is knowing that my work contributes to something bigger than just the numbers. I enjoy turning financial information into useful insights, solving problems, and improving processes while continuing to learn from an experienced team and grow as a finance professional.
What about the future of TLB are you most excited about?
I’m most excited about the opportunity to grow alongside The Launch Box as the company continues to expand. Being part of that growth means taking on new challenges, helping build stronger and more scalable financial processes, and continuing to develop while contributing to the success of our clients and team.
