The Launch Box Life with Jose Manuel Guerrero

At The Launch Box, we are entrepreneurs serving entrepreneurs, but we took very different journeys to get here. In this series, readers will learn more about how we each live #thelaunchboxlife every day.

Jose Guerrero holds a degree in administration and management from Universidad Panamericana and has experience in accounting at companies such as Jabil. He is truly passionate about numbers, analysis, learning new things, and meeting new people. He brings unique perspectives, provides helpful feedback, and always shows respect for different opinions.

Explain your career path—how did you become an accounting intern?

I studied administration and management at the Universidad Panamericana of Guadalajara. I have always been passionate about numbers, so I worked for 1 year as an accounting intern (6 months at Lusso Travel and 6 months at Jabil GBC), gaining knowledge that allowed me to be here today.

Can you describe your personal self?

I am a dedicated, focused, and committed person who enjoys working with new people to continuously learn and improve my skills.

What are your top personal values, and how do you apply those to your work?

1. Gratitude: I am grateful for everything I have in my life, and I offer a little of what I receive to others.

2. Respect: I value everyone's point of view, even if it differs from my own, and I try to take the best from it.

3. Compromise: I always fulfill my responsibilities and do my best to ensure everything runs smoothly without affecting others.

Why did you choose to come to The Launch Box?

I chose The Launch Box because I saw in it an opportunity to grow my skills. It is a company with a very pleasant culture and values, from which I am sure I can acquire new knowledge and contribute my skills, thereby developing my professional career in the best possible way.

What is a common misconception you hear about accounting?

Regarding the accounting area, I've heard it's a very repetitive, systematic job, but I think the opposite is true. You can learn a lot about different areas and see how a company's operations work.

What is the most fulfilling part of your role at TLB?

To understand the reasons behind everything in the company's finances, to give meaning to every move, and to analyze the data to think of ways to resolve certain cases.

What about the future of TLB are you most excited about?

Its capacity to continue growing and the opportunity that both companies and people involved have to develop a future in which everything looks incredible.
