Explain your career path—how did you become a Senior Talent Acquisition?

I've always felt very motivated to work with people; it's what I love doing the most. I enjoy meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and exploring new perspectives on life. Since my time studying for my degree in Venezuela, I knew that whatever I pursued professionally would have to make a significant impact on people. That's why, upon obtaining my bachelor's degree in industrial relations, I decided it was the perfect time to start my professional journey in another country.

Mexico opened doors of opportunities for me in the IT industry, and I always knew that I could take IT recruitment to the next level with my talent attraction skills and eagerness to learn. I've had the chance to meet brilliant minds and incredible individuals who have inspired me to leverage technology in recruitment processes, and build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.

However, it wasn't enough. In such a dynamic industry and a constantly changing world, I knew I had to do something different to stay in the game. so That's I stumbled upon the agile methodology – a completely flexible and adaptable mindset that has allowed me to integrate a unique approach to recruitment processes. I even pursued certification as a Scrum Master.

Can you describe your personal self?

I see myself as a highly adaptable and curious person. In the face of challenges, I always find ways to grow and learn from my mistakes. I am also motivated, always injecting passion into everything I believe in and undertake. This is where my resilience shines, since I have never given up on pursuing my dreams.

What are your top personal values and how do you apply those to your work?

My top personal values are adaptability, accountability, and passion.

  • Adaptability has allowed me to think outside the box in any situation; I never resist changes but rather embrace and flow with them to provide the best solution.

  • Accountability, I always take responsibility for the outcome and results, whether they are good or bad.

  • Passion for me is about keeping my commitments; I am deeply faithful to what I say, believe, and think, and it's something I strive to share to others. I always uphold these values not only in my work but also at home.

Why did you choose to come to The Launch Box?

I decided to join TLB because I saw the chance to contribute in a vibrant, creative, and dynamic setting, which is a refreshing change from what I was used to. I'm thrilled to be a part of something that's making such a big impact and the whole team is wonderful; especially Lauren Darby and Karla Oros, who motivate me a lot to learn from them, and I'm sure we'll make an incredible team.

What is a common misconception you hear about Recruitment?

I have heard many times that recruitment could be replaced by artificial intelligence. Nowadays, I believe recruitment has earned a less human reputation due to the excessive use of technology in its processes. Simply to save time and fill positions quickly, recruiters have used technology to spam, disrespect, ghost, and even reject candidates, thus closing the door for us.

However, I firmly believe that a more human approach to people will make us irreplaceable by AI and robots, and this is something I am constantly working on to improve.

What is the most fulfilling part of your role at TLB?

It's incredibly fulfilling for me that my work is changing lives. I genuinely aim to make a positive impact on everyone who joins the team, offering them the best experience during the recruitment process and showing that TLB is the opportunity they've been waiting for.

Additionally, I would love to serve as a channel to connect TLB and its clients with communities and the best talent in Mexico and the United States, creating a definite win-win relationship.

What about the future of TLB are you most excited about?

I am very excited to see the TLB team growing in Mexico, especially in Guadalajara. The progress we're making is truly remarkable, and I am thrilled to be a part of this journey. Seeing our team thrive and succeed brings me immense satisfaction, and I eagerly anticipate the great things we will achieve together in the future.
